This figure out book is all about strategies. I had to figure out how many office windows there were on a whole skyscraper. It took me a while but I got through it. One of the buildings had four hundred and seventy five windows. It took me two days to figure out that answer. I tried my hardest and I finished it.

What a view!
This week I learn’t how to work out how to make two different strategies for one sum. In my figure it out book we had to find out how many windows one person washed. He had washed 234 windows.
I had to find a way to solve that problem it took me two days to figure out the sum to get the right answer.

That's Odd!
This week group 2 learn’t what makes an odd number odd and an even number even. An odd number is odd because you can’t half an odd number into a whole number. If you half number nine you end up with 4 and a ½ but if you half 8 you end up with 4 , which is a whole number but it’s also an even number.
What makes an even number even? An even number is a number that you can half into a whole number like if half 12 you would end up with 6 not 6 and a ½.
Next week I really want to go up a level. When I was little I thought math was boring but now it my favourite subject. Now I know maths is needed everywhere.

Dick and dom
Walt: to compare fractions.
This game was hard before I learn’t equivalent fractions. First we had to find the right fractions and see what one was bigger or smaller the fractions were sheep poo. Next we had to jump on the plank with the bigger numerator and small and sometimes big denominator. After that it was all easy.
