Haarera - Fair Trade

While first of all I've learn't that cocoa beans are not just collected by adults but also Children. The parents that make their children work don't want them to work but in order for them to survive they needed to work. Cocoa beans would be collected by people of all ages even if they were just nine years of age. Some children had worked for years collecting cocoa beans.

Cells

This is my blog post for Science. We have been learning about Cells and the differences between the Living and Non-Living thing. We have also been learning about the Functions of cells and the Functions about different parts of the cell.

Living and Nonliving things
Living
Non-Living
They grow
They don’t grow
They can breathe
They can’t breathe
They can move on their own
They can’t
Living things have sensory organs
They don’t
They can produce offspring (reproduce)
They can’t

We have also been learning about two different types of cells. They are the Animal cell and the plant cell.
The functions of these cells have a few similarities but they also have differences. As you can see from the diagram above the plant cell has one more part from the animal cell, so it a has more functions than the animal cell. The cell wall has the purpose of keeping the plant cell strong and firm and is also thick.

I will tell you about the some of the functions about the parts of each cell part named in the diagram above.
The function of the Cytoplasm is to create the shape of each individual cell.
Cell Membrane Controls what enters and exits.

Those are just a few examples thank you if you stayed until the end.

My E-Portfolio is going to be use to visually showcase the work that I will be doing in technology this year. My blog will be used to reflect my learning in Technology. The Year 10 Digitech Google+ Community will be use to collaborate with other students about the work we complete in Digtech.

We will be developing a game relating to "Sustainability". We have been trailing a game to learn new skills in Scratch.

The Blue Djinn of Babylon

I've just started reading a book about Djinn otherwise known as Djinni or Genies. The two characters that it mainly concerntrates on are two kids named Philippa and John. It also revolved around there mother and Djinn that is mostly known in the Djinn communities as Layla. Whch is mostly known as Miss Grant.

But the difference from Philippa and John is they are half human and half Djinn. Their mother is a Djinn known as Layla (Miss Grant) and their father is a human known as Edward (Mr Grant).A Djinn is a creation of fire and it's powers/abblities are very weak when it is winter. That is why they are so known to be found in desserts. Also a human is a Creature of Earth and has slim to no power.

In many of the paragraphes it was meantioned that there were good Djinn clans and evil Djinn clans. The Evil ones were Djinn that made halloween by making the human dress up as monsters and give them snacks, feast and even sacrifices. The evil clans were named Ghul, the Shaitans and the most evil clan was Ifrit.

Thats most of what I have read.

Learning maths through games

Screenshot 2015-11-30 at 10.12.41 AM.png
I have been playing a fun game called Double take. You have a 4 by 4 square and first you start off with two number two’s. The goal to win this game is to get to 2048 on the 4 by 4 square not in the score. It is a good addition game so if you're not so sure on addition play this.→Double take

If you can’t move you might get a game over. I think the Double take is fine as it is.
